THE VALOR PROCESS
What to expect from the first conversation to the final detail
A thoughtful, collaborative approach to creating a home that feels distinctly yours.
The Initial Site Visit
Matt will schedule an in-home visit with you. These meetings typically last 30 minutes to 1 hour. During this time, you will be able to describe your project needs and share all your ideas. Matt will want to gather as much information as possible and will take photos, measurements, and notes.

The Design Phase
Most projects require a planning phase. Matt can share current ballpark industry standard pricing to help you budget, but the only way to arrive at a good estimate is to collaborate on designs. Typically, this phase has its own Design Contract. That way, you are getting consultation and design services that will inform your estimate without committing to the full project yet. The design phase includes custom-defined deliverables: Consultation and Design Meetings, Simple Plans, Architectural Drawings, Engineered Drawings, 3D Renderings, Virtual Walk-Throughs…customized to your specific project needs. And finally, you will receive a detailed estimate based upon your informed decisions throughout the design process.
The Construction Phase
Now it's time for action. After the design is complete and you accept the detailed estimate, Matt will deliver a project contract and project timeline. Most likely, much of the design schedule was confirmed during the design phase, but there may still be items that you need to finalize. Not to worry. You will receive assignment reminders along the way to ensure that materials are ordered on time and that your project keeps moving forward on schedule. And another advantage you have with Valor Design & Build is that Matt is your direct contact. If you have questions or concerns, you will be talking directly to the contractor/manager and hands-on craftsman for your project.

The Final Details
You can rest easy knowing that your project is in the hands of someone who cares about you and your beautiful home. Matt does his best to cover floors, control dust, and protect surfaces, but he also holds his sub-contractors to a high standard. Matt has a keen eye and gives attention to detail. This is especially important when it comes to the finishing touches. Matt will be the last one out, making sure that he has discussed with you and performed all the details on the punch list to your satisfaction.
